Tattoo Aftercare

Please Follow Your Aftercare Instructions As This Is A Major Part of The Healed Product

Tattoo Aftercare Instructions

How you take care of your tattoo will directly determine how your tattoo will look when it's healed. A tattoo is for life so take the time to heal it properly.

Products To Heal Your Tattoo:

  • Mild soap such as dove(or any other white or clear soap that contains no dyes , perfumes, or fragrances) .. dial liquid will suffice as well
  • Unscented white lotion such as Lubriderm, Aveeno or Jergens .Aquaphor and TattooGoo work as well

(Do not use any ointment on your tattoo unless instructed to do so by your artist, misusing ointments can ruin your tattoo and will forfeit your free touch up up to 14 days after service rendered)

Healing Instructions:

  • If you have the hypoallergenic latex free tattoo bandage , you can leave on your new tattoo for 24/48 hours ( or if in physical activities 3-5 days). The tattoo bandage is waterproof as well. If you choose to have wrap instead, leave your bandage on until you get home or somewhere clean. Ideally you want to remove your bandage within one hour as all wounds need to breathe if they are to heal properly. After removing the bandage,  wash your tattoo( with your hand)  with warm water and pat dry with a paper towel. Allow the tattoo dry some and proceed to apply lotion. Do not cover or re bandage your tattoo

Wash Your Tattoo 2-3 Times A Day For 2 Weeks

  • Gently wash the tattoo using your hands only. Using mild soap and warm water, take care to remove all traces of blood and/or plasma. Residual body fluids cause scabbing. Do not scrub the tattoo during your healing period. Gently pat the tattoo dey with a paper towel or just let air dry. Do not use towels or washcloths on your tattoo as they can harbor bacteria.
  • Apply a small amount of lotion to the tattoo; only enough to where it will completely rub in with no excess, a little bit goes a long way. Always wash your tattoo before applying more lotion

Lotion Your Tattoo 2-3 Times A Day For 2 Weeks

FOOT TATTOOS MUST STAY UNCOVERED FOR THE FULL DURATION OF THE HEALING PROCESS TO AVOID ANY WEAR FROM SOCKS OR SHOES

HAND AND FINGER TATTOOS HAVE A TENDANCY TO WEAR DUE TO THE HIGH USAGE OF OUR HANDS

BE PREPARED TO POSSIBLY NEED A TOUCH UP  WITH THESE AREAS

What to Expect:

  • It is normal for your skin to form a protective layer over your tattoo. When your tattoo is healing your body will form a thin membrane to protect the tattoo while it heals . This layer peels similar to sunburn. Do Not Pick At Your Tattoo Or Purposely try to Make It Peel While Its Healing.IT WILL RUIN YOUR TATTOO. It's normal to see small flakes of colored skin peeling off during this stage of healing
  • It is normal for the tattoo to become very itchy during healing, sometimes gently patting  or tapping a tattoo can help. DO NOT SCRATCH OR PICK!

DO NOT!

  • Do not submerge your tattoo in water for at least 2 weeks. This included swimming in the ocean, pool, hot tubs and saunas.
  • Avoid sun exposer and tanning until your tattoo is completely healed
  • DO NOT USE VASELINE ON YOUR TATTOO EVER!! we don't care what your friend said or how your uncle healed his tattoo. Don't use it
  • DONT PICK, PEEL OR SCRATCH

A tattoo isn't completed until it Is fully healed

Tattoos are an investment and require active participation on your part '
